It started as Al Furqan Institute to cater the needs of thrown / drop out students in 1996, at Santhivayal. The Private Over aged Certificate scheme was meant for the dropouts to appear the SSLC examination, when they attain 17 years of age. It was a feather on Al Furqan’s cap, that before Govt.’s recognition as an High School, 5 SSLC batches passed out with flying colours. Al-Furqan English Higher Secondary School started its journey in 1996 in a very humble beginning with 36 students, without own building or basic infrastructure.
