The English Club

The English Club at Al-Furqan offers creative opportunities for students to experiment and play with language and to practice using English in an atmosphere that is supportive, encouraging, and respectful.

Two widely held beliefs are that English is one of the most important global languages and that knowledge of English leads to expanded career opportunities, salary increases, and improvements in living standards. Countries around the world recognize that to remain competitive in the global economy, their citizens must learn English. It is the effort of The English Club at Al-Furqan English Higher Secondary School to give our children that edge.

The primary goals of The English Club are communicating and practicing English. English club activities incorporate reading, writing, listening, speaking, and critical thinking.

The English Club is a student-run organization which runs exciting social and cultural events for faculty and students, such as promoting creative writing, poetry readings, and anchoring. Students of all classes may join the club and hold offices. The English Club also produced the literary magazine, Reminisce in the year 2017-2018. 

Club membership is open to everyone. Participation is encouraged from each and every student of Al-Furqan English Higher Secondary School.  Anyone committed to practicing English regularly is welcome to join the club.

The kinds of activities the club chooses will be limited only by the creativity of the club members themselves.
