Upper Primary

In the Upper Primary Stage children at Al-Furqan English Higher Secondary School learn English, Malayalam, Hindi, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology (under Science), History & Civics, Geography (under the subject Social Studies), Computer Studies, Arts Education, along with Quran learning, Moral Studies, and Arabic. English being the medium of instruction, the focus of English language learning at this stage is on oral and written expression, in a creative manner.

The purpose of our methodology of teaching is to:

• Identify strengths, weaknesses /learning gaps and problems faced by children;
• Provide timely, corrective teaching – learning inputs to children to ensure they are learning better in the future;
• Monitor the progress of each child with reference to his/her previous performance so as to develop every child to her/his full potential;
• Improve/modify teaching learning practices and methods and use of materials by teachers based on each child’s requirement and need;
• Monitor children’s learning and performance and
• Provide data on children’s learning to parents.

At Al-Furqan English Higher Secondary School we identify various aspects of the child’s behaviour, i.e., knowledge, comprehension, skills and dispositions (attitudes, values) and our children improve in the areas that they are lacking.
